Cuyahoga Valley Art Center (CVAC) seeks passionate Visual Art Instructors who are subject matter experts in their fields and committed to high-quality instruction. Instructors guide students through a well-rounded arts education that explores various media while integrating color theory, design principles, art history, and diverse artistic techniques.

Instructors will teach one or more of: drawing, watercolor, acrylic painting, oil painting, mixed media, ceramics, and bird carving (etc.).

Location: Cuyahoga Valley Art Center, 2131 Front Street, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221

• ·Teach techniques and concepts in one or more disciplines: drawing, painting (watercolor, acrylic, oil), mixed media, ceramics, and bird carving
• ·Incorporate art principles such as color theory, composition, and design, along with historical and contemporary practices
• ·Adapt instruction to students of varying ages, abilities, and learning styles, with individual and small-group guidance
• ·Demonstrate proper use and care of materials, tools, and equipment in a safe classroom
• ·Plan and prepare lesson materials, including supply lists, and communicate needs with CVAC staff
• ·Set up the studio before class and restore it afterward
• ·Foster a positive, inclusive, and inspiring learning experience
• ·Collaborate with CVAC leadership to align class content with the center's mission
• ·Support CVAC's programs and initiatives as needed

• ·Minimum of two years of fine arts teaching experience, preferably in an educational or community-based setting
• ·Proven proficiency in one or more artistic disciplines
• ·Strong ability to convey artistic concepts and adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles
• ·Commitment to a positive, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment

• ·High school diploma
• ·Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fine Arts (preferred but not required)
• ·Bachelor's or Master's degree in Art Education (preferred but not required)
