The Music Settlement seeks qualified part-time Accompanists for the Center for Music to provide piano accompaniment for student lessons, rehearsals, and recitals.

Classification: Part-time, as needed, nonexempt

Reports to: Chair, Center for Music

Compensation: $27.50/hour

Available during days and times services are needed. TMS operations are Monday through Thursday 9am–9pm, Friday 9am–8pm, Saturday 9am–5pm, with occasional Sunday special events. Accompanists work on an as-needed basis — some assignments are regularly-scheduled weekly lessons, others are one-time events.

• ·Provide piano accompaniment for student lessons, rehearsals, and performances of varied length and frequency
• ·Support Center for Music faculty and students during instructional and performance activities
• ·Be punctual, dependable, and responsive to TMS communications and requests

• ·Advanced proficiency in piano performance
• ·Strong collaborative skills including sight reading
• ·Openness to feedback, direction, and instruction from TMS faculty

Preferred: Bachelor's degree in collaborative piano, piano performance, or other music instruction field. Will also consider students currently enrolled in an accredited college/university with necessary piano mastery, collaborative experience, and references.
