Beck Center for the Arts seeks a part-time Facilities Technician responsible for maintenance, housekeeping, and security of all physical properties and grounds. Reports to the Facilities Manager.
- ·Housekeeping of all three buildings including floor care, carpet care, restroom cleaning and stocking, garbage removal, and cleaning between productions
- ·Basic repairs and maintenance including HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, plastering, and roofing
- ·Monitor building temperatures and make HVAC adjustments as directed
- ·Monitor safety systems and enforce safety procedures and policies
- ·Set up and restore areas used for programs including lights, doors, tables, chairs, and equipment
- ·Monitor interior and exterior areas and report worn, damaged, or unsafe conditions
- ·Grounds maintenance including snow removal, lawn mowing, and landscaping
- ·Maintain supply and storage areas in neat and orderly condition
- ·Assist visitors and patrons with a professional attitude
- ·Maintain flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and overtime as required
Must be able to move actively around campus including stairs, ladders, and occasional crawl-spaces. Operate power tools, lawn mowers, snow blowers. Must lift up to 50 pounds.
- ·Education: Vocational, trade school, or maintenance experience
- ·Experience: All aspects of housekeeping and maintenance
- ·Skills: Floor care, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC
$13–$16/hour, part-time hourly non-exempt.
