- ·BIG ETHEL SATTERWHITE (female, playing age 60–75) — No-nonsense, larger-than-life personality. Tough, outspoken, fiercely protective.
- ·GEORGIA DEAN RUDD (female, playing age 40–55) — Town caretaker and champion of lost causes. Kind-hearted, eccentric, warm and funny.
- ·LARKEN BARKEN (female, playing age 20–35) — Cheerful newcomer. Attractive, optimistic, health-conscious, youthful energy.
- ·NORWAYNE "BABY" CRUMPLER (male, playing age 35–50) — Joveeta's good-ol'-boy brother. Lovable, quirky, immature. Strong physical comedy required.
- ·HAYWOOD SLOGGETT (male, playing age 65–80) — Curmudgeonly neighbor. Gruff and opinionated but cares deeply about his community.
- ·JOVEETA CRUMPLER (female, playing age 35–50) — Practical family leader. Determined, smart, resilient. Spearheads the fight to save Doublewide from annexation.
- ·CAPRICE CRUMPLER (female, playing age 70–85) — Joveeta and Baby's feisty mother. Independent, stubborn, full of mischief. Scene-stealing comedic role.
- ·LOMAX TANNER (male, playing age 35–55) — Local businessman and public official. Charming when necessary, not always trustworthy.
- ·STARLA PUDNEY (female, playing age 35–55) — Ambitious and colorful local with strong opinions and flair for drama. Excellent comedic character role.
